Black-crown Night Heron in Fli

Photographed this black-crowned night heron while I was out on a survey of some sloughs in Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in the southern San Fransisco Bay. Saw it perched up on some reeds, and it flushed when our boat went past. Luckily got this photo of him when he jumped up. Check out more bird in flight photos here: [link]
